New Year

Is there a time when things aren't new or old? Where they just are?

2005 is now last year, the old year, finished, closed, gone.

2006 is the new year, the coming year, the future, unresolved, unexperienced, untouched.

So I guess as I look toward this new year I should begin to think what new things will occur in this new year.

So here is my list of "new" things that will most likely occur in this new year.

New job/career
New living quarters
New state (maybe??)
New friendships
New opportunities
New challenges
New hurts
New lessons
New posts (definitely)

Leave! Leave! Grab a dog sled and head up to good ol' Wisco! We'll take care of you! It's like all that "southern hospitality" stuff but with a "yah der" twist! (Although you know I don't sound A THING like that! hehe!) You just bring your happy little self up here and we'll get you all set up! :)

Sorry JCol hehe

Seriously though Katie: I'm very excited to see what God has in store for your life. Just keep on keepin' on girl! Remember: "God always has a plan B"! :)

(I am having serious blogger issues today lol)

Oh by the way, just in case any of my non-texan friends are interested, it is 80 degrees outside on January 3. EIGHTY degrees, sunny, and feels like spring. GOSH.

Can I ask for a new winter freeze for 2006?

And maybe that says something, that in my entire life I have lived in texas save for one year of college and then six summers.

Hmmmm, Missouri doesn't seem to be calling my name, but maybe Washington D.C. is. I really didn't give it a chance, I was only 19. Now maybe with some wisdom and years, the city could be a great new place to set up shop.

Well then can I ask for the 80 degrees? BRRRR! Katie! It's BRRR cold up here!

You could teach those politicians a thing or two.

And then you could come back to Texas, where you belong. :)

I'll take your 80 degree weather any time! You can have as much of my New Hampshire white, fluffy, wet, slushy, cold stuff and everything that goes with it.

If I could seal it up and mail it to you, I would... but sadly it would melt.

God has a plan for you in 2006 and I'm right there with you on all of the changes... who knows what will happen in 2006?

Thank goodness for new posts in 2006!

Let us know how the Lord continues to lead, so we know how to pray.

80 sounds wonderful, although 40 isn't too bad for Wisconsin in January!! If it weren't for the darn rain!

As much as I don't want you to leave us Texans... I am proud of your mature attitude. Change is hard especially when it is uncomfortable. If life were comfortable all the time it would not be challenging, and what fun would that be? I am excited for your 2006 KT!

ps. Even if you leave, you will always be a Texan... I can tell you from personal experience that the Texas pride quadruples when you leave!

New job or new career? First one's easier than the second.

As for all the rest, best wishes for everything to turn out wonderful!
