10 inches
That's how much hair I just donated to Locks of Love. I was a bit hesitant to go short, but knowing that those 10 inches go to someone who doesn't have the luxury of debating on how much hair to cut made it an easy decision.

It's awesome that you decided to donate those inches to Locks of Love. What a compassionate gesture.
My 10 year old daughter decided to donate some of her hair to them in late 2007. She gave six inches, I think, and still had shoulder length hair afterwards.
What? You cut it? That is awesome, but I really liked it long and so now I am only picturing you with a bob haircut... which I guess will work for NY.
