Reflecting

This question was posed to me last night and I actually felt myself react to it. The reaction you have when something that is so true suddenly becomes real to you.

In what ways are you waiting on God's timing or is He having to wait on you?

For all the waiting I've been doing recently, I thought it was always on other people, on the future, on God.

But maybe, just maybe, I'm the one that is holding things up. Maybe I'm the one God is waiting on to give me all my heart desires. Maybe He's patiently waiting for me to move, for me to act, for me to change.

Maybe.

Man, I wish we could go back to the voices of Biblical times. Or the dew on the wool or something.

Maybe then I would listen better. Maybe.

What a test.

Sometimes we make decisions WITH Him. I have no doubt you will be prayerful in any decision you have in life.

That's the problem with free will, you actually have to make the choices.

Yep, I think you are right, we make the decisions after careful consideration and prayer and then God acts. I think sometimes he acts before and sometimes after we act - we just can't see the bigger picture like he can.

So KT, whatever it is you are waiting on, stop waiting and just do it!!!! :) Unless it is quitting your job like I did in an "act of faith" - (read emotional outburst). Don't do that. Make sure that whatever you decide that it is based on good logical decisions and not on emotion. Follow your heart, but only when it is beating at a normal pace.

Maybe he's waiting on us to quit ignoring him, even when we think we're listening.

I think she's got it!! God has a lot more patience with you than I do. You have tremendous faith in God but not in yourself. I want you to know that your family has tremendous faith in you and respect for you. I want you to go out and experience life and let life experience you. Your love for God shines so bright...but has been hidden too long. Your gift of writing for God needs to be shared among people who don't feel the same way as we do. You can open people's minds, give them something to think about. (just don't argue with them). When you take the first step into a world of possibilities...you will feel God right there with you. Because He is Always there. He never leaves you. You may even take many different paths, which may be surprising and disappointing to you, but may be a part of His plan. Who are we to argue? IF you need a hard kick in the butt...just call me.

I love you,
(He had me take a different path than I expected)

Having spent the past year or so "in transition" it is sometimes hard to tell what is your will and what is Gods. What's your timing versus his? I don't know. All I know is sometimes you need to make a step of faith.

this post speaks volumes to me, I have wondered if God were listening to me at times. I do really know he is, but still when is He going to answer?
