Internet, have I told you that I have great younger sisters?

These appeared at my work yesterday.

THANK YOU Kristen, they did make me smile and I showed them off with excitement.
I have the BEST younger sisters. Love you Kristen and Kelli.

What did they do to you? They must have done something bad if they are sending you flowers!

I know it isn't your birthday. You have the same birthday as my brother.

My little sister made me dinner last night, but then made me watch the WORST movie EVER! I would have preferred the flowers (although the food was really good - too bad the movie made me feel sick!)...

they did nothing, Kelli sent me flowers about a month ago just because I said I wish someone would send me flowers, she sent me roses, I posted a pick of it and then Kristen just sent them to me yesterday because they are both just amazing

the card said: Enjoy! I hope these make you smile!

See, they are just wonderful and I am lucky to be their big sister

Wanna trade? My little sister will always be my little sister. I mean this literately. My little brother is taller than me, my little sister will never have that problem...

Plus, my little sister is cute, blonde, and spells "Lent" L-I-N-T (like belly-button lint). I think that is special.

How SWEET! Way to go K-T. I am SURE you are a wonderful big sis to have.

Do you know how much I love tulips? LOVE them. I am enjoying yours vicariously through you!

Deals - I'm curious what movie did you have to watch?

well my little sisters are both taller than me and they are twins so when I'm standing between the two of them people start to sing "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things is not the same . . . " and if you would have asked when I was two and I got not one but double the trouble of little sisters I might have traded them for a new barbie but now they've grown on me and I think I'll keep them

AM: The movie was HOSTEL. Trevor and my sister have been talking about renting this movie for months. She even talked her roommate and some new male acquaintance of hers into watching it, too. So, there we all are - all five of us (and Trevor's dog) - watching this movie in the dark and eating pasta. The first half of the flick is borderline porno and the second half is full of all these people being tortured and killed for money. Very disturbing. I had to leave the room on several occasions, because I just couldn't take the gore and violence. Apparently, I was smart to do so because one of the images was so disturbing that my sister will never again be able to eat mustard.

Ick.

Katie: Haha! So what you are saying is that you are really the little sister, huh?!

Aren't you tall, though? I keep thinking that you are, but I (obviously) don't really know.

oh I'm tall as in 5'9 but they are taller 5'11 or so

aww.. That's so sweet.

Your sisters' names freaked me out at first.. because I am a "Kristin", my sister is Kelli, and if my brother had been a girl, his name was to be Katie! Weird, huh?

So, is it obvious to anyone else that Ben didn't read ANY of the comments?

:P

Katie, I think you should teach Ben a lesson. I don't know how (or really even why...), but you should do it all the same.

Beautiful! I was going to ask what the occasion was, but I did read the comments before I hit Post, so at least I escape being made an example of like Ben.

You're right - that is a sign of a terrific little sister. Since I'm the little sister in my family, I should now send flowers to my big sis, but I don't know if I could pull it off. Besides, she didn't ask for them. And she has a husband to do sweet things like that for her.

Ha! Ben McMinn is beyond "in a fight potential" with Deals. He's officially in a fight now.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

BTW - All three sisters are Amazonian to me.

Kristi - NO WAY, we give my parents a hard time because we all start with K's and my sisters have the exact same initials, we had to go by Kr, Ke, and Ka on things growing up because of this, ahahahaha so funny on the random similarity

OKAY... I didn't read all the comments partly because DEALS's comments were so LONG. And I know that it is not her birthday because her birthday is October 12th! (Which is also Columbus Day here in the US.) I was just stirring the pot... trying to indicate that she is getting old... and of course, she will only be 29 and not 30.

AND I can't believe that Katie is shorter than Kristen and Kelli... What the heck do they put in the water?!

Ben! You know that October 12 is Columbus Day in the U.S.?

I totally don't know any of the holidays in Canada.

I was stating that it was Columbus Day in the US. I have no idea what day it is in the foreign country of Texas.

Uh, Ben, had you been actually reading the comments you would have known that Katie and my brother both share Columbus Day as the day 'o' their birth.

Oh, and Jes, Canada was discovered right along with the rest of America. Whether or not Columbus actually did the discovering might be up for debate, but I've noticed that Canada and the U.S. see to be...attached. Plus, way back when (in the days before air-conditioning and microwavable taquitos) I'm pretty sure the U.S. and Canada were both part of the same massive uncharted territory.

And, Katie, this would have been way before there were horses running around, too. Your "guard horse's" equine ancestors would be brought over by the Spanish in a matter of years.

And here I will conclude this lesson...

yes but deals did not the french "discover" and colonize canada? while the spanish headed south, the british middle-dom, the french went north to the canadian-like area, so maybe it was the french who brought such equine defensive apparatus

is my history off here? you work at a museum so I think you might know better

The French were really all over. After all, they are one of the six flags over Texas. Not to mention the Louisiana Purchase...all French originally.

The Spanish are the responsible party for bringing over the horse (and the cow, for that matter). Although, I'm not sure who brought over the stick horses...
