Three things
Number 1
I have good friends.
Just wanted to state that out there for the entire world (or the small part of it that visits here) to know. I really do have great friends. I have friends that I have known for a lifetime, for half a lifetime, for a year, and for a moment.
The amazing thing to me is that time only deepens a friendship; but the bond, the greatness of it, often hits you immediately.
I had the distinct pleasure of having dinner with my “Change Me” girls last night. These are a group of amazing ladies who I had the pleasure of doing a Bible study with last year and we decided to carry it on into the summer. They are PRECIOUS.
It was so much fun and they are such an encouragement to me. These are true women of faith that challenge me with their lives, their wisdom, and their hearts.
GTs (good times).
Number 2
Supposedly (not supposivly or supposibly mind you) you are supposed to get your hair cut every 6 weeks. Or is it 6 months? Oh well, whatever it is, I never do what you are supposed to.
But I have a hair appointment tomorrow at 9 a.m. and I'm trying to decide how much to get cut, what style to have, and all other things that are of course of great importance on this Friday morning.
I know, I know, guys; you are shaking your head in disgust and thinking, "Just get it cut. Why do girls make such a big deal of this?"
Because we do. And well that is my answer.
So my question is this: Anyone have any ideas on what I should do with my hair. I’m pretty easy going with the hair cut. Currently it is just to my shoulder blades. I’m open to a new length, I’m open to layers, and maybe even some side swept bangs.
So thoughts? Suggestions? Warnings?
Number 3 - UPDATE
There is no number 3. Sorry, if you saw the promise of a forthcoming post then just forget it. The words aren't coming like they should so I'm not going to force it. We'll see what happens.

Okay A: I'm all about the loving the friends thing. I fell in love all over again with my girlfriends after this last weekend, and I appreciate them all for how massively great, amazing, and strong they are. Love. My. Girls.
B: Get fun sweepy bangs! Get layers! Don't go to Cost Cutters (that's my warning).
C: You have peaked my interest.
I'm moving straight to B. It so depends on your hair. If your hair will stay in the style that it's cut into, then go with layers and side-swept bangs - so pretty . . . I just got a great haircut with angles in the front, and it looked wonderful until I stepped out into the NY humidity and it all curled up and now it just looks grown out. But if you have the straight hair I always wanted, go for fun style.
Or you could do what one of my friends once did in her young and foolish days - walk in to the salon and tell the stylist you want something interesting, close your eyes and let her have fun!
I have been fully realizing what a great thing it is to have new friends. I longed for it, and now I have it. I am happy!
I always chicken out at the hairdresser. But I do have her make my six week appt. when I them, because without fail, my bangs will sprout 2 inches in 3 days before my appt.
My thing is that during the week, I spend absolutely no time on my hair. None. I leave with my hair completely wet, so I can't have a hairstyle that needs work. And I need it long enough to pull it back. That's why my hair always looks the same.
I'm a lazy chicken.
you should talk to your stylist and ask what she (he?) suggests for your hair type, face shape, etc.
Mr ANONYMOUS
I find that you are creepy as hell. YOur comments are UNMERITED very VERY unappreciated and you need to stop posting to my friends site... IMMEDIATELY.
So you know I am serious... you live in Bluesprings Missouri and your computer IP address is at Valentine, McCormic and Ligibel Marketing... I Will call that company and let them know what you are doing during your day (i.e. posting sexual inuendo on CHRISTIAN women's blogs)
Take my advice and go away

Dont test me on this
um, Mr. Your Worst Nightmare, whom we all adore, shouldn't that last paragraph be "I can PROMISE you Katie doesnt find it..."
katie: I am also getting my haircut tomorrow. It must be a sign of something. Like, maybe, that we are supposed to be going to Target together at some point in the near future for some fun relaxation.
Oh JLR we do need to go to Target, sporting our new haircuts. FUN TIMES
sphzoy - Shop hizzoy - ghetto shopping
I am now a HUGE fan of Mr. Your Worst Nightmare. Nicely done.
Yes, Mr. "Your Worst Nightmare" gets official hero of the day status for his actions.

I CAN PROMISE YOU

Mr. Your Worst Nightmare, thank you for your heroic actions. Katie thanks you, too.
You are a hero. You are a knight in shining armor. Shining, I say!
Do you also ride a white horse, with a red feather plume?
Our hero!
*moves clasped hands from chin, straightens elbows, putting hands to the side like they do on the cartoons*
umm, jcol, i tried this cartoon movement and it didn't work out so well. please film yourself doing it and post a link. thank you.
were your hands still clasped when they went to the side of your hips? that's the right way of doing it. I'll show you next time I see you.
Will your hair still be ridiculously shiny if you cut it? Just wondering.
Yeah, I know ALL about JLR's haircut. She called me three times today to tell me to tell RR about it (you know, incase RR had something else planned).
Then, my boss came in for our meeting, and I didn't get the message to RR for an hour. By then RR and JLR had talked, and JLR asked if I had told RR about the haircut. RR said, "no", which now means that I (ME?!) am unreliable and cannot be trusted with important information (especially concerning haircuts and/or the twins' schedule).
That is just great...(grrrrr)
Katie: good luck with your haircut tomorrow. Haircuts stress me out. Plus, I'm supposed to be donating my hair to "locks for love" the next time I cut it (which explains why I haven't cut it in over a year).
I love friends! Our church is very tiny though, and the gals my age all have kids and like to talk poopy diapers and teething. So... my kindred spirits are about twice my age! No matter. If you can share and giggle and feel happy for having spent time together, that's all that matters.
I love your impossibly shiny hair. No matter what you do, it will look nice. Since I haven't seen your hair in person, I really cannot comment more... because what about the thickness, does it look awesome in a pony tail, is it naturally curly, etc. These are all things to consider.
Have a wonderful weekend. :-)
I know that this to late but my theory is hair grows, chop it and have a great time with it! And girlfriends are a neccessity to us women!
I cut my hair recently - and when I was done - it was all gone. I was the dad withe the white head at my sosn's graduation in june - luckily it grew back
Peace
