East coast, West coast throw down
The object of dissension:
CUPCAKES
Magnolia Bakery (coming out of NYC, yo)
vs.
Sprinkles (like, you know, from, like, Beverly Hills)
Now I've never tasted Magnolia's cupcakes from their store (although a friend did make some from Martha's recipe and they were yummy) but Big D (Dallas) just got a Sprinkles and well I'm addicted.
Three dollars for a cupcake you say? Inconceivable. I know, I know there are better ways to spend my money but they are just so good and addictive. Hmmm and there are so many flavors. So far I've tried the red velvet, lemon coconut, and peanut butter chip (AMAZING). There are so many other flavors too, it's like cupcake heaven.
Alas, I'm on a cupcake boycott for a while (for the sake of my bank account and my hips) but if I ever make it to NYC I'll have to do a taste test of my own to see how Magnolia match up.

Those could be rapper's names (I had a hard time with the apostrophes there) too and we could start up all kinds of rivalries.
It all sounds so yummy wonderful!!
The weird part is, your post connected with the pdx bathrooms....not so nice. My hands almost feel dirty now ~C
PS. Pictures
Trevor brought me a dark chocolate cupcake from Sprinkles last night. Yum. It was dreamy.
Never heard of Sprinkles.
Sad. We haven't made it over to the new Sprinkles yet. Am feeling very deprived. You know my love for cupcakes.
MMMMM!!! I want one immediately. I am going to find their addy right this minute!
Magnolia's cupcakes are very good - way too much frosting, but the cake itself isn't too sweet. The hype is totally justified!
Maybe I can get Deals to send me a Sprinkles cupcake...
